Our Fall meeting was held on Saturday, September 27 and included a tour at Cascade Hardwoods in Chehalis. They recently installed a MiCROTEC log scanner, an amazing device for optimized sawing. At the tech session, speakers included Mike Milota of Wood Moisture Solutions and Scott Best of Nationwide Boiler. Larry Eck and Tom Auman gave us a summary of the MiCROTEC scanner and history of Cascade Hardwoods, and Harry Estlow moderated a question-and-answer session. Thanks to MiCROTEC for sponsoring lunch!
